Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling towhat is good. Be devoted to one another in love.
Honour one another above yourselves. Romans 12:9-10

Marriages are honorable. They are a gift: a joining of two individuals who seek to put the Lord in the centre of all they do.

They are a relationship where interests, likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses all intertwine together to create something beautiful, where individuals do not try to outdo each other but instead each one tries to put the needs of someone else ahead of their own!

We need to be vigilant to protect that with which God has blessed us. We need to realize that marriages are not perfect nor are they easy.

"God celebrated the first marriage. Thus the institution has for its originator the Creator of the universe. "Marriage is honourable"; it was one of the first gifts of God to man, and it is one of the two institutions that, after the fall, Adam brought with him beyond the gates of Paradise. When the divine principles are recognized and obeyed in this relation, marriage is a blessing; it guards the purity and happiness of the race, it provides for man's social needs, it elevates the physical, the intellectual, and the moral nature." E.G. White, Adventist Home, Pg. 25

Learning to take care of "our" selves in order to take care of others! Relationships are such an important aspect in our interacting with others - especially those whom we love the most!
